this bed cost me about $50 and 6 hrs of work.material list, 2 4x4's..free...bed frame..free..1" decking...$30 down to $20("junk") at the mill..lights..$30ish...what i did was weld the bed frames to the truck frames body mounts. screwed (2 1/2 screws)the 4x4s to the bed frames( made a c Chanel).then screwed the decking down. only problem i need to make wheel wells. tires will rub, and hard on flex. still need to add the hear board and some storage space.
the wheel wells will be 1x1 square stock i have laying around with tool boxes added in. storage been on the head board.latter rack is going on too. and a few other Lil things. yes i have pix but not sure how to put them up yet.
the main reason i flat beded my junk is the bed came off without removing any bolts. i just lifted it off the truck.
