I don't think it's the topper. We hit 90's twice or three times but it was a cold summer though we did have consistent 80* weeks.

I'll check the coolant level. Though I haven't noticed any leaks and the oil has looked normal the last couple of changes. The block heater leed was maybe they hadn't gotten the system bled well enough so the coolant temp sensor was throwing an incorrect temp.

I had been kind of thinking towards tps but it goes away when warm.....

Also to throw another ringer in today/tonight it was in the 40's and wet and it didn't do it on the way to or from work. I didn't deviate from my normal routine so go figure on that one.
