I checked the cel it works for sure. Also something interesting I talked to my dad and he has a similar problem with his 98 4Runner limited 4wd auto. Originally his started out as a infrequent miss and bucking but it only happened on long trips. Toyota replaced plugs, wires, one coil pack, and the fuel filter. Though now it has morphed into a problem that is similar to mine. Anyways just something for thought.
