I worked for them for 2 years and i suggested they make the idlers stronger for monteros or they're wasting their money. 100 Idlers later between all of us down here and they still suck.

Ok so I plan on picking up a spare Gen 2 idler to make a fixture out of it for making the support mounts, same goes for the gen 1 idlers. I'm hoping this will be as simple as i'm thinking it will be.

I would consider removing the nut and replacing it with a machined extension that threads on so the bearing you add is further down giving it more leverage to keep thing straight.

It's also worth mentioning again that the zombiezone idler arm as a longer shaft compared to the OEM. On the OEM unit there are not enough threads for this brace idea to work, making Charlie's suggestion all the more important <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
