Nice writeup GWS! Was admiring some of that old stonework in the cabins too; can't imagine all that time putting something like that together. I've seen a few down in NM on the back road from Quemado to Pie Town; great stuff. Those guys back in the day were some tough hombres to live out in the desert and make a living.

x2- where's your rig?

I put these pictures up for everyone to enjoy and you attacking me makes me think you are a mean person.

Oleg is not a mean person and I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt your feelings, but being from the old country (Russia, I think) he may have a different way of explaining things.

A group hug between you two would be good.

Oh I almost forgot, thanks for the great pictures and write up.

I appreciate the fact that people take the time to re-size pictures for the forums. 600 x 450 is a reasonable size to provide clarity of detail and and reasonable download time....

Thanks for taking that extra step....

yes, I am a mean person. I tend to hide the mean side of my personality, but sometimes I just cannot help myself.

You are misinformed or you do not have adequate info on my gear.

i resized all pictures down to 600 x 450 pixels for the forum.

the real size is closer to 3450 x 2850 pixels.

here is a picture about the same size as yours.

...

if you have a problem with the size of my pictures then send me a private message next time.

the size of the pictures has almost nothing to do with the pictures quality. I did not mention the size.

Okay now- no need to detract from the ride folks.

GWS- if PMing someone, click on their screen name to do so.
And x2 again, thanks for sizing your shots. Nothing much is worse than having to scroll all the way across a thread or have your dialup get hammered.

Maybe he was using a high ISO or had a dirty lens? LOL.

Seriously though GWS, I don't believe Oleg meant any offense although I think we all can see where you might have taken offense by his 'direct' comments.

As for photography snob... well I will have to say, I definitely have a lot to learn from an artistic POV when it comes to photography but I keep trying.
