you would be surprised at how much nicer the ride without that swaybar.
yes the debate about saftey goes on.
just drive it like a truck without a swaybar and you would be good.
i got around that old man and through the colvert without flippin without mine.
warning however,if you try to loosen nuts they will most likly snap.i may have to put mine back on to pass inspection,but it will come right back off.

Agree with the comments about minus sway bar(s), but only when fitted with uprated springs. Mine handles better with a 2" bodylift, 2.5" spring lift, and 31" tyres than it did stock as a rock. The "chuckability" factor into a corner is far better, with minimal hopping through undulations mid-corner. More confidence inspiring handling.

Agree with the stiffer springs and cornering. Since my 3" lift, I have been able to corner at higher speeds. Safely.

My sway bar with drop links kinda rubs on the front of the lower arms.......

maybe it's time to unhook that bugger.

if its rubbin that really aint good. if you want to keep the sway bar ,do it right. lower the front brackets to retain original angle on swaybar. they work kind of like torsion bars,and by changing the angle steeper with a lift it makes the sway bar even stiffer.
sudden change in one direction without sway bar aint to bad,its when you need to correct, thats when there could be trouble.the return is where the extra sway will kick in. it could be bad.i definatley noticed that i needed to be careful.

so if you take it off you need to drive to accomodate. but for just comuting it was so much nicer. try it for a week and tell us what you think.careful with the nuts.liquid wrench and some heat for sure...

I heard somewhere that you want to keep the front and rear diameter of the tires within 1/4" of eachother, and definatly under 1/2" of eachother if your running in 4 wheel drive. Am I correct? Can I drive around in two wheel drive with different diameter tires front and rear? It would be nice to have some mudders on the rear and some all terrain on the front, but I am worried about difficulty matching diameters with todays sizes and tread depth differences. Is this a possibility? Or am I just looking for trouble in the drivetrain?

i dont use 4wd unless i absolutley have to. even with the same size tires you can bind stuff up between the front and rear tires..i.e..."transfer case".
guy at work was telling me that he uses his 4wd in the rain on highway. in a jeep cj.why were we talikn about it,......he was getting a new transfer case.
that was about 6 months after he had got a new trans mission.
moral of story(i love that line) if you aint slippin and sliding,you will bind up your tansfer cs.so..if your slidin around that much, i dont think a small diameter differene will ruin you.
im picky about this topic.i would try to maintain the same size.but you can get away with a little for awhile.i also like to baby my transfer case chain.lotta work,time,money, to get in there.i dont beleive in a lead foot in the woods either.recipe for some breakage.sometime it has to be done.for the most part i try to just putt thru the trails. as soons as you hear people say "watch this" or "hold on" you can just get the block and tackle out...
