When I had my Powerchip fitted I placed close attention to this when they were removing the ECU. Once you have unbolted it you actually have a reasonable amount of movement withthe wires leading into it.From memory you should be able to turn the wiring harness around 180 degrees and be able to locate you ECU right up under the dash. Mounting Points to screw into will be the issue.

The ECU is actually quite robust and is able to handle awater dunking. Adskia has dunked his on a couple of occasions and has dried it out and got under way again with minimal consequences (apart from ribbing from his mates form using an exhaust to dry it out). <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

My suggestion is pull the carpet up, undo the ECU and have a good look at the wiring. There could be a couple of bolts/clips that may hod the wiring harness in postion. Once these are undone you should have the movemement you are looking for.
