4x4 tool kit: Duct tape and a BFH.
If it moves and it shouldn't, use the tape, if it doesn't move and it should, use the big _ hammer.
That is all.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

And a Leatherman Wave to cut the duct tape and hold stuff still for the bfh.
One of the mechs who taught me a lot used to say if you can't fix it with your hammer, you have the wrong hammer...

Hopefully within the week I will be able to get my article about a wire binding system finished.
Baling wire and duct tape are important items....

I like the fact you can buy 9 gauge wire in the small spool at Home Cheapo. It's pretty handy around my hacienda. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

Nope. Bailing wire is a LOT lighter. We had lots of it at home; used it for everything from fixing chains on the ol 57 Powerwagon to hoops for a wire fence gate. The reason you find it at Home Cheapo is that it's the wire used to support the top of a chain link fence.
I think my Grandad salvaged the stuff at home off some old telephone poles when the power company replaced 'em. It was the earth ground for the poles in those days; was AL instead of CU.

Actually, what you can buy at the big box stores (I work at the "other" one) is rebar tiewire. It is softer than baling wire, but about the same diameter. Incidently, it is almost impossible to find actual baling wire as baling twine has been used for years.

NAPA sells bailing wire. They call it "mechanic's wire".
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...
