You couldn't grow up on the central coast of Cali without loving tr-tip. Tri-tip impregnated with garlic, marinated for a few days then BBQ over hickory is about as good as it gets. Done right, it is tender and flavorful. cutting it up properly helps as well. I've made TT that is better than any NY steaks or T-bones....dang I'm hungry for some TT right now and it's only 9 AM.
