It has been a long time guys. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

The old dog needs a front end rebuild. These parts are not a problem to locate.

However, I searched and ran across the HOW LONG WILL WE BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN OUR RIGS thread and I have a part that is not found through the local parts people.

Vehicle speed sensor for the 4L30E. I searched and found where Jerry mentioned this tranny having 2 of them. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

I was wondering if any of you would have input on the below problem and where to locate the part.

The issue: When the truck is cold (less than operating temp) the tranny will inconsistantly go into limp mode on the 1 to 2 shift. Sometimes on the up shift and mostly on the down shift.

I am regularly getting the code for VSS and thought this was the issue.
I do NOT always get the code when this happens. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I love the old Troop and will continue to try to repair as needed...until we run out of parts. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Thanks in advance,
