Big things are a coming, all 2k10 versions are now pre-installed in a nice and fancy VM.

This also means the Mac users on this forum can run ASA finally.

In order to use it, you'll need a copy of VirtualBox installed on your machine.

The VM clocks in at 2.1GB, and even with VirtualBox, ends up being smaller than if you installed all 4 versions individually. For once NTFS compression does some good...

Performance is very close to native, without much overhead.

I'll be uploading it as soon as I get something faster than cellular internet, so likely next Monday or so.
I should have a quick "how to install and use" guide typed up by then as well.

Very excellent, thanks for the effort. Now I'll have something besides NeXTSTeP to run on VirtualBox <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

http://www.lickamom.com/ASA_VM/ASA_VM.zip

That's the .zip, You'll need to unzip and import the appliance in Virtualbox by going to file, import appliance, select the ovf file. After this, you can delete the unzipped copy.

I'll try to get some more detailed install instructions up for those that need them.

How about IOS (Ipad/Ipod Touch users)?
Regardless, great job!

Ok thanks anyway. No virtual box app for iOS devices so too bad, so sad LOL. I guess I'll need to run it on a PC only then or buy a MacBook!

Got it running on my mac today (or should i say my MSI Windbook with MacOS) on a flight between Dalian and Shenzhen. Took a little messing around with the xml file, but once I figured that out for my Atom CPU everything loaded up and works great. Thanks for you efforts.

Should have just needed to import the appliance, I'll look into it.

What needed to be changed?

Glad it's working. smile
