replaced three sections of fuel line, with diesel rated goodyear 5/16" line, instead of the 8mm, almost identical fit. new clamps, checked all battery leads, one was loose, and worn, replaced it, and then checked the injector at the nuts, some air in each, not much, then tried to start - click. checked the starter, and the lead was rotten, and almost non existent. cleaned the wire, crimped on a new copper lead, covered it with some old fuel line so it wouldn't arc or ground out, and just when it seemed all should be well, endless cranking, as usual for my paj, followed by smoke out the rear, but no-start. I THINK IT COULD BE THE INJECTORS/NOZZLES... could this be the source of my misery? are these easy to find? i have a running 4d53t engine - could i swap in those injectors? my paj is at 160,000kms by the way, maybe service time for injectors?
