Ditto. I had 8.9L/100kms once on stock tires heading to Idaho (downhill all the way!)

I always wonder in the diesel swaps aren't just because of a "Grass is greener" mentality. If I couldn't just buy a JDM diesel, and had the space and ability, I'd be driving a Cummins stuffed into something cool, like a CJ-6 or FJ-40.
