Great ideas here! I like the charcoal briquet one - I have bags and bags of the stuff since I switched to a gas grill.

I have had pretty good luck sprinkling "Odor Eater" on dry carpets and dry seats. "Odor Eater" is a foot/wet boot powder that is made of baking soda and some anti-bacterial stuff. A very light sprinkling followed by "working it in" with a brush does the trick. Don't put it on anything damp or wet.
