Ever tried to understand the meaning behind the term "goat rope"???

When I was in flight school in Mineral Wells, TX, I learned (second-hand) that one of the insults guaranteed to start a fight in that area was to call someone "a goat-roper". Evidently anyone who would stoop to roping a goat was the lowest form of life imaginable.
