A few of us here on the wire are already in touch using Facebook. It is a great tool for keeping in touch with friends and being able to access each others photo albums is great too. I was just wondering who out there is on Facebook and if you want to be my friend. I thought it would be a good idea to get us 4x4wire regulars hooked up there too.

Be aware that today Facebook is changing the privacy settings opening all your information up the outside searches such as the Crawl search that takes all information it can get then compiles and hosts it all over Yahoo and Google. Far worse than the Board reader is.
I do not post any real information but some do. Just beware.

yea I read that too, I think their is a setting to make everything private unless your a friend to someone.

I actually had little to no information in my profile but I did add some today, I now live in East Bumfluk.
I do not want my identity to be easy to steal from these searchable sites.

I'm on Facebook also, when I signed in yesterday it gave me a notice about the change. It prompted me to change settings if I wanted to.
You can still use the "old" settings of only your friends seeing your information.
I agree, way too much visibility with their new settings.
