That is why Facebook is lame. I feel sorry for the people with no real friends in life who hang out there.

Better to have 1 friend in the real world than 1000 online acquaintances.

You can't argue with success...

It is interesting that Facebook is a communications media that has grabbed the attention of young and old alike.

One of the fastest growing demographics of Facebook users is female over 50.

As I recall, the next demographic group was under 30 age.

Being one that has been looking at different means of communications, I find Facebook, MySpace, Tweeter, LinkedIn and others to be interesting communications media. It is a means of communications that is in its infancy and will see many changes in the coming years.

Overall, instant communications appear to be the norm and the wave of the future.

Communications is very dynamic and I find it fascinating...

It is especially fascinating with the changes I have seen over the past 30 years of internet access I have enjoyed. From "gopher" to "google", access to information has seen many changes.

While the core function of e-mail has not changed much, many nuances have been added and it is those additions that make for some fascinating times.

The web is a fantastic media. Being able to use the web and communications capabilities are key to moving an agenda forward.

Case in point: the 2008 election cycle. The party that best capitalized on the internet carried the election.
