Thanks to all, longfields and new axles it is. I'd rather upgrade while it's all apart and save a trail breakdown. We wheel all winter long here (often alone) and the Cascades can get really lonely (last Monday we saw zero vehicles all day). The run included miles of low/low running at 3500-4000 rpm with chains on both ends. The turn arounds when the trail is blocked (lots of falling trees in the winter)can be pretty hairy.
