How do you combat salt?

The only way to try to combat the problem is to frequently run your vehicle through an automatic car wash during the winter, especially after salt has been put on the road after it has snowed.

Investigate your local car washes. Almost all of them recycle their water and use it again, but some of them don't. And of the ones that do, some of them have better filters than others. The worst ones will just put salt back on your vehicle, but the better ones really help, particularly with modern cars. On the older ones, like CJs, it's a crapshoot.
