Define "newer"....

Within the last 5-10 years, there has been more attention paid to corrosion by the major manufactures.

So, body and frame may benefit from factory attention; however, there are no guarantees when it comes to cars from salt environments.

Overall, I would place CJs in a suspect frame and body category in salt environment.

The Wranglers are questionable and year dependent.

My experience is with radiators. Salt environment is bad for them.

Frequent washings do help; provided the wash solution does not have a high salt content.
