how do you combat salt..you dont it wins everytime. you can prolong it, washing it on warmer days above freezing, but usually by the time you get home from the wash it has salt all over it again, just not as much. You can try certain paints like por-15. that could slow it down. or visit the body shop every couple of years. the rust just starts to take over. and once it does your in for a fight. try changing parts with rusted bolts, <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> they strip, break off..thats always fun. i use a lot of neversieze evertime i take something apart seems to work really well. I'm not sure about the carwashes recycling the water out here. i dont think they do, but i could be wrong.

as for me i grew up in central MA just below the NH line. and now i live in Homer which is 30 miles south of syracuse, just inside the fingerlakes region.
