Getting the Wheeling Fever

My Dad bought the Truck of my dreams - a 1988 Dodge Raider. I knew it would be a project but I just brought him home from the local mechanic with a brake parts list over $1200 and instructions to find a holley carburetor that will fit...
Where is the best place to find Mitsubishi parts?
Has anyone changed out the carburetor on the 4 cyl 2.6 engine?
Thanks!

oh and you got raped for the brakes!
could've bought front mid 90s montero brakes and swapped a mid 90s rear end with discs for less than that and have great brakes
atleast they're brand new though Have fun with it!

I just reread your post. Does that mean someone wants you to spend $1200 with them to do the brakes. I actually get that out of your post. Let me know.

That's the way I read it, too. I think the mechanic gave him a $1200 estimate (probably for all 4 corners). Definitely take care of that guy, if you can.

I gave him an invite. I know it's short notice, but if he really loves them it will be a good time.

The total estimate is over $2000. $1200 for parts $800 labor. No way am I going to pay that! They said their supplier was having trouble finding parts. I've been able to find most of the parts online for less than $400. New drums, shoes, cylinders, hoses, rotors, calipers, pads, seals, and bearings. Can you help me find a mechanic that can do a complete brake brake rebuild for me for a more reasonable price. I live in OP near 220/17.

Did you have make major modifications to complete the conversion? The mechanic who suggested this said that I may have to change the ignition system since the computer could be effected by disconnecting the vacuum lines. Is this the type of carburetor you are suggesting: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JLK...RPQH62BCDRBB72BCan you suggest someone in OP that can install this for me?
