Getting the Wheeling Fever
The overdrive won't engage so I'm running near 3000 RPM when I reach 60 MPH. I read that I need to replace the Overdrive sensor or to ground the sensor. Has anyone faced this problem? How did you fix it?

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Now my hood won't lock down when I shut it. It was working before today. The release handle is missing and I already have that on order. That might be the problem. The seller said I just needed to tug on the cable and it would open. this worked for awhile but now it wont shut and lock.
Any suggestions?

Body Damage is Cool
Lubricate the mechanism and pull the lever the other way. It's probly just tight5, even spraying the linkage might let it pull back.

Yeah, you should be able to latch the mechanism with the hood up. Work on that before you drop the hod again. I'd maybe start with some PB Blaster to loosen it, then some lube once it is feed up.

Wait, you're in FL. Start with the lube. If that doesn't work, then go back to Blaster. (Really only need to start with PB if you're north of the MDL. )

I had an 89 that did this same thing, wouldn't shift into overdrive on the freeway. Turned out to just need a new thermostat. The temperature of the engine controlled when the vehicle would go into the highest gear. Good Luck
