I ain't saying how fast, but mine has seen faster than what's posted so far..... and compared to a LWB, lane changing in a SWB on 32s at those speeds will pinch your seat covers. A tight/good front end set-up with a little rake and a little more track width does help.... if you're real smooth on the wheel.

You definitely have a problem with yours. Now my engines pretty worn out but a few years ago before it started falling apart I can remember being on an open stretch of highway w hardly any other people and it would sit at 105mph, that was about max w/out a downshift but it sat there for while no problem and felt solid.
Fastest ever was 116 coming down I90 on a long steep down hill coming down the mountain.

Nope - no problem with mine - other than the engine is now being reborn. There is a difference between a SWB and a LWB at high speeds. My SWB feels as solid as any, but you don't want to make a sharp turn in any SWB at high speed.

Hi Mark -

The first liar never stands a chance, does he?

BTW, according to Einstein, if you turn around and drive 100mph the other way, your speed will drop to 66,493mph. It's a bit strange to consider that you're actually going backward while driving 100mph forward.

I experienced that once when trolling at 3 knots in a southerly direction at what I thought was the edge of the Gulf Stream off Morehead City, NC. I was actually inside a fast-moving northerly current and when I looked at the Loran a couple of hours later, I was several miles further to the north than my starting point, so I had been moving backward over the sea bottom while steaming forward through the water. Now when I condidered the rotational direction of the earth and earth's orbital direction within the solar system, oriented it all toward an Earth polar North reference, allowed for magnetic compass deviation, corrected for RF wave distortion and resulting time/distance miscalculation in the Loran, checked to see how much the CIA and NSA were degrading the Loran signals, allowed for wind drift and attempted to calculate my speed, direction and position............... I decided to have another beer and follow the other boats home.
