There is a guy in town selling a montero axle that he claims is a genII (he said 92 or 93) Limited slip with 4.875 gears. The sticker on the rear end does say 4.875 and above that says T92. The rear pan is not removable and it only has one drain/fill plug. Is there anyway to confirm that this is an LSD without taking out the third member to look at it? I snapped a few pics with my phone if you need them. thanks for the help!

should have a sticker saying LSD, otherwise rotate one axle and the other should turn the same direction.

Well it's pulled from the truck and the truck is gone so i don't know about the sticker. They do both turn in the same direction but the pinion is spinning freely.

Is a 92-92 third the same as a 95 LS? Or, is your 95 4.875?

the thirds are the same on the outside, my LS is 4.636 but i plan to swap out the front end with a junkyard piece anyway.
