Well enough talk, here is the start of a whole lot of work and money, I have finally started pulling the axles off and preping for the DANA 44 and Ford 9". ![[Linked Image]](http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Ready2Raid/CIMG0619.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Ready2Raid/CIMG0620.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Ready2Raid/CIMG0621.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Ready2Raid/CIMG0622.jpg) Oh its official I need a bigger garage!

I'm going to use the ford 9" 1 for width 2 for the large aftermarket support. I'm pretty sure the 9" is going to be better in the long run, its uses in Drag cars, hotrods, baja trucks. so there is tons of support for this axles and when i break it i'm just gonna toss in the chromoly's if i break it again you tell me ( I told you so)other then that i am confident with this axle.
But the 89swb is for sale minus gears and Limited Slip

Great project I agree with TOASTY, keep the mitsu rear. The Ford 9" may have good support if you break it, but I don't know anyone who has broken a Mitsu rear, esp a Gen 2 9.5".
Keep up the good work though

Dude I hate to be Sam Safetey. but cinder blocks? At least if you must use them, can you turn them so they are on the load-bearing side? I have seen the effects of those being used on their side, not for a car but a bunch of heavy equipment and it was kind of funny seeing it sitting on the ground after I told the boss not to do it that way.

I foresaw some one giving me grief about the cinder blocks, i tried to use them on there load bearing side but my shortly cut safety 2x4's wouldnt have enough support to give me the illusion that they may continue to hold up the mighty raider.

I love it when new parts come in, I'm gonna start tearing into the raider next week if everything goes well. ![[Linked Image]](http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Ready2Raid/CIMG0627.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr119/Ready2Raid/CIMG0626.jpg)

As to your safety 2x4s, the load is not supported on the 'span' section of the board, but only in the vertical dimension. That said, pick up some better jackstands...they are cheap compared to crushed 4x4wire members.
I am not the fourth to point his finger of non-guilt at one's self. My pink 60s block were essential in changing service bodies on my SoCal Dodge trucks: them and a hi-lift did wonders.
