Well i finally got around to getting the 460 in the chassis, Just partially though, mocked up some engine mounts just enough to support the engine but allow me to move it back/forward and side to side till i get the drive train all figured out but she really does look pretty sitting in there and i think it i will still be able to use the stock hood.

Thanks,I'm hoping she runs as strong as she is big.
The plan is to run the headers outside the frame railsso i might have to cut them and make thema bit wider whoknow i'llhave to wait tilltheycome in.
But i'll keep the pictures coming i'm finally making some headway with this prject.

Body Damage is Cool
The steering is going to be fun to route. Besides that I can not wait to see all the progress.

As of right now I have not and didnt plan on stretching the frame, I am planning on reenforcing the front frame rails and mounting the front axle right under the original tube crossmember. as i can see the engine is sitting just and 1" over the tube member and about 4" past it but thats all pulleys. If i need to for comfor i'll notch it out or maybe "V" it the give more clearence but i like where the engine sits i think it'll keep nose weight down with the c6-and np205 helping push weight back. but that front dana 44 is a heavy girl. This is really alot of thinking drinking and looking as i go to see what works and what comes up. as for the steering i think i am gonna have to use a few joints and run it between the the block and the headers lots of fabing as i go if you cant tell. But thats part of the fun right?

Oh.ok. I understand . I was just wondering how the steering & wheel travel was gonna work given the limited real estate & massive engine. Looking forward to future updates.
