I was just in gulf port, for 5 weeks doing security force training I got honored with a extra week there thanks to hurricane isaac. Not a big fan I also did 6months in pascagoula for a precom of one of our navys finest DDG.'s USS Gravely. I'll tell you what if I'm down there again and its not for work i'm horriffically lost.

So I started welding in the upper control arms but before i make it permenant I'm gonna do a little reading and geometery, i think thats latin for miss calculate. and the big change of plan will be if I'm lucky enough to find it will be a Cummins 4bt mated to a ford 5r110 torqshift (5speed auto)I found all the plates and the Transmission standalone to make it work so thats gonna be a new plans since I'd like to drive this to work and maybe the grovery store......lol

So I took the body off the raider and after looking at the rear axle i decided i'm going to move it back 22"s, during the cutting up the bracked my cutting wheel exploded and took out my leather glove and some of my index finger. So that was 3hrs of my day spent in the emergency room. Started to feel up to working on the truck this sunday but my wife had other ideas, and her water broke so back to the hospital I go, at least the Browns beat the Steelers!! heres some pictures of my newley acquired tire, i think its to big!

6BT wow, gonna require some serious cutting of the firewall i would imagine? But it's really hard to beat a 6BT for cheap, reliable torque.

welp! i just hit a snag, It seems like i have to wait for the guys from diesel conversion to come of holiday vacation, between the adapter and the there flexpalte it dont have enough clearence for the starter to engage the teeth it just bounces off the teeth. i can really say i have it installed incorrect or correct since i was blessed without instructions. I'm hoping its something simple, since i'm ready to start lining up the power train and getting the chassis reenforced for the engine. its haulting production and makes me sad. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
