Looked over my last post to this thread and it sounded as if I had no empathy. I appologize if it sounded that way.
I'm glad to hear that you are going to get some compensation out of this unfortunate event. I agree that getting another vehicle is a good idea. I've been talking to my wife and we need to get one for her. She wants a Toyoda 4-runner or something to that effect. I'll keep the Sportage as it is my baby. My Sporty is no looker either, so if she gets retired, then she'll become my full time 4x4ing rig. Plus she's more fun to stomp around in than any other vehicle I've had. Like a big boys toy...
