Nukeiridium, hopefully you never ever have the need but if you do, PM me before you contact a lawyer. I know the ins and outs of the trade because i used to be one of THEM! Now I'm an Independent Appraiser and work for both sides of the fence. Most adjusters are thorough and fair but sometimes I refer to their tactics as "legal organized crime". Sorry to hear they worked you that way! You don't need an invoice to see your rig is lifted nor does a upgraded stereo diminish the value. Anyway, knowledge is key and knowing what to say and what not to say makes a huge difference. Adjusters are trained to wear their conservative hats at all times. Sometimes you have to squeeze the living $hit out of them to get a fair settlement.

night of 4th of July, Florida, I was 18,19 or so. Driving my Ford Escort on a hwy going 55mph. I glance at a few dogs on the left side of the road and then all of a sudden a bare as$ naked man runs out infront of me from the right lane. I immediately swerved hard left then right to stay on the hwy. Then I realized after the instantaneous evasive maneuver that he was naked. I turn around and call 911 and turn around to follow him from a distance. I find him jogging around naked and obviously drunk. 911 doesn't believe me, but then they get a second call with the same description and say ok we'll send someone out. First one on the scene was a firetruck. it was funny to watch the firetruck keep turning around because the guy didn't jog in the same direction. The 3 dogs i saw were just following him. I went home a few minutes after the firetruck showed. scariest avoidance I've experienced even now since i've been living up in WA and Idaho with Ice/Snow/Deer.. nothing that close. lol <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />
