Body Damage is Cool
I wanting to put on a slider that doubles as a step to access the roof area and of course stout enough to use to as jack points to change tires or whatnot

Well, these will definitely work. The legs that attach it to the body come un-attached so you can modify them to fit as needed. This also means you can rotate the bars to whatever angle works best for your rig. I plan to have a slight incline on mine to optimize clearance with the ground.

Well Hurry up and put them on and take some pics. Are you going to get them powder coated or Herculined when you get them welded and fit the way you like it?

Gusset to me means the triagle piece. Is that what you got? IOW, wondering if they came with the plate for mounting to the frame, like the fully-built ones have?

Here's a picture of the slider leg using the gusset... (both a mounting bracket and the triangle piece).
[Linked Image]

Normally they come with neither the bracket or the triangular gusset piece.

So it sounds like you were able to get the bracket/plate, and the gusset? The list the gussets and price, how much were the brackets?

Bracket & Plate were part of what they call a mounting kit. Kit was $24.

So your going to bolt those on? I like the idea of them being gusseted onto a diamond shaped base and welded to the frame. Drilling lateral holes through the frame kind of fries my brain for some reason.

Any thoughts on benefits of either method?
