So your going to bolt those on? I like the idea of them being gusseted onto a diamond shaped base and welded to the frame. Drilling lateral holes through the frame kind of fries my brain for some reason.

Any thoughts on benefits of either method?

Nope, I'm going to weld it, rather than bolt it to the frame, but the mount kit offers either option.

Are these things on yet. When you do get them on can you test them with the hi lift jack? I want to make sure on what every slider I get that it can be used as a good jack point. O yeah I forgot where I read it but is the Gen 1 have the same length rockers as the Gen 2?

At work so not much time but answers below.

1) No.
2) Of course I will but the real test will be boulders.
2) Pretty close I assume but I never measured them. Just measure yours and check on Trail-Gears's site what size they sell will fit best.

Ummm, i just took a measuring tape out to my '95, and unless I'm mistaken, the skids you ordered are way too long...

Have you held them up to see if they fit? <EDIT> Question intended for off-roader...

The small triangle pieces they gave me, I didn't think they would be strong enough. I'll have to snap a pic and show you what mr and my friend came up with. Basically took a tube, same thickness as the leg, cut it in half long ways so it formed a triangle and then provided much more support throughout most of each leg. I also angled mine upwards cause of the body lift which provided more clearance in return. Post pics when you are done!

I angled mine upwards slightly, but they still sit horizontal enough to stand on. (The TrailGear sliders fit perfectly.)

Please do take a pic. I'm interested in making mine as strong as possible.

Please address the length question I posed as well. I'm ready to order!

You're right but I have plans...

Actually the shorter ones are just a bit shorter than I'd like so I've bought these a little long on purpose.
