Too cold to waterski today so we decided to hit the mud instead. Very first puddle we hit was a bit too much

Fortunately I found a backhoe! Bad news is she took in a lot of water.

tcu ecu and etacs were submerged for about 15 minutes. She fired up and ran great for the rest of the outing!

However on the way home the A/T light came on , I lost overdrive, 2-3 shifts were random, dash lights were flickering, speedometer stopped working, and the power locks were going nuts.

After it sat for a few hours I regained normal shifting of 1-2-3 but OD only works if I push the "hold" button. The A/T light is still on though.

I'll let her dry out for a couple days and see how she does. If the electronics are shot, I'll have a good excuse to swap them for TT stuff

One last shot at the house.

I'd be draining that ATF, flushing it, and replacing it ASAP.

I can't help but chime in on this thread and ask a pointed question...

What the F#$%# are you thinking when you engage in this type of activity and brag about it???

Motorized recreation is facing many legal challenges where the supporting documentation submitted to the courts is your type of action.

The mere fact that you engaged in this type of activity and felt it necessary to post pictures is adding to the pressure to eliminate motorized recreations opportunities.

Guys, do you not realize that what you do is monitored by groups that want to eliminate you opportunity to do a trail ride???

Posting this type of report/pictures support the efforts to close trails.

What did I miss? "This type of activity and brag about it" I'm not sure what its like where you off-road, but we have puddles and stuff that we have to traverse. A PM probably would of made more sense because my friend put it best; "stop the jibber-jabber!" Have a nice day!

B: yeah, to some extent, its wrong, but thanks for sharing.

John's right. Exactly because we don't know where he went is the reason this will be used against us to close more trails down. Environmentalist will simply assume this was on public lands and use it as an example of how irresponsible we as a group are and why the law makers should close trail access to ALL motorized vehicles.

The points about recless wheeling are 1000% valid, but don't flame someone until you know. Where were the critical comments on the Tampa Meet thread? He went to the same place as that. It is the same kind of place as Wellsville near me- an abandoned wasteland where people have run of the range and the locals or other over-the-shoulder-watchers aren't concerned.

It is not my recollection that every posting about wheeling included full disclosure about where it was done, what the access rights are that were followed, etc. If that is what you want, so be it. Just add it to the guidelines...

So now we blame the wheeler???? Every picture I've ever posted could be of me wheeling through a wildlife preserve or somewhere protected.

I understand Johns point but are we really supposed to walk on eggshells about what pictures we post because some ass-clown might use it out of context?

I don't know guys....This world is getting a little out of control with all the preemptive policing. Who here has never done a water crossing?
