another option blitz would be to wire it off of an ignition source for your rocker switch to the relay, that way you cant accidentally leave them on when the vehicle is not running, or atleast turned to ignition with the key.
that what i had done with my switch for my compressor for the air ride in my car, that way if there was enough of a pressure drop in the system over night or it sat for a few days/weeks, the compressor would not just turn on at will and kill my battery.
