Hi guys, I thought I would let you know that you can now purchase factory look snorkels through a small online company in Australia. As far as I know they are sourced from Taiwan and they appear to updated since I had mine fitted. Here is the link to Outdoor Auto http://www.outdoorauto4x4.com/p/1038904/kia-sportage-snorkel.htmlHere is a couple of pics. the first one is one that Tim has used of mine on the website ![[Linked Image]](http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc190/4runnernomore/PICT0291.jpg) The second is of another Sporty (bigbum) in OZ that had the newer version installed today. ![[Linked Image]](http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc190/4runnernomore/snorkel2.jpg) Hope you all like. Cheers, Chris

don't think the poor guy needs that much cold air going threw the intake, -50* air is not what a poor sporty truck needs all the time. now if it was a seeing snorkel so he could se above the snow and had a hood to keep the snow out then I would say yes, now if they made snow-shoe tires he could ride on top of the stuff and wouldn't need the seeing snorkel

Out here it isn't so much for the cold air as the clean air. Miles of dusty roads at this time of the year, but a point of note, our southern states are dealing with 43-45 degrees at the moment (that's Celsius, not Farenheit!!! = 110 degrees F with "catastrophic" wildfire warnings from hot dry winds starting at one end of the continent and finishing at the other with nary a drop of water between the two points)

I would have to want one perty bad to spend $600 on one (even though it might look a hair better than my pvc design).

This is about normal for prices here in Australia. this one is slightly higher, but as it says in the advertisement because the box is over 1 meter in length that it is delivered in the costs rises susbstancially. The resaler was pretty sure that he could get two snorkels in the onebox which would help to reduce costs, shared between two parties. Thankfully I didn't pay that much when I purchased mine but probably would have as this was the only product available and I like that factory style look oposed to a home made tubing job. I also brought up the extractors made by wildcat to the attention of the forum quite a while ago and noticed that a group buy was trying to be organised by you guys in USA, it appeared to fall over mainly due to cost. That is the price we pay in Oz, what do you guys pay for extractors/headers in America? Think of the possibilities if this had gone through, a new market may have opened and a parts or exhaust supplier could have taken it on making availibilty easier for that market instead of one off supplies. I did this with the flairs I bought from America and then found out that the flairs were actually made in Oz but the manaufactur is unknown. With more research perhaps the manufacture could be found? As I do have the flairs unmodified a template could be made up and flairs could be put back into production with varying widths [color:"red"] [/color] the market is there. I made these enquiries with a company here in Oz http://www.bossproducts.net.au/index.htmlIf things are good quality I am usually more than happy to pay a rerasonable price. As we all know the options for our cars are very limited, so supporting the suppliers will increse demand and hopefully more products built for our little under rated 4by's . Catch you all round. Cheers, Chris

I'm kidding of course about the looks, it looks really great. But i'm on a budget, so $20-30? worth of pvc, and a can of black paint, (cause some of it was white), was worth it to me. Maybe one day. Thanks for any info you post.

I definitely can't bring myself to spend 10% of my vehicle's entire cost on just a snorkel. Sorry but that price seem exorbitant for a cheap vehicle like the Sportage.
