Can you resolder the nipple on? I can't help with this part, sold what I had already. Check with Jim (MI_Mitsu), TommyM, and anyone else in the Classys?

please dont quote me here, but a couple years back, i ran into this problem on one of my troopers. the sending unit was available, but pricey and i just wanted a cheap way out. i ended up getting a repair kit for this at advanced auto ( think it was $12 ). all it was really was some straight brake line with a flared end as well as a " reduced end" i then pulled sending unit, pulled pump , was careful to blow out gas from unit. i ground nipples off flush , reamed out any burrs in holes. i then put a curve or bend as close as i could to original nipples and inserted the "reduced end " into holes. i used a jb weld type product as base of tubes cant recall exactly what ) to keep it in place. let it sit at least 24hrs to cure and only then hooked hoses back up. it worked fine, and i save closed to $200. might be worth checking into ? hope this helps - mike

I might have to go this route, maybe i can thread it in screw in some nipples but i'll have to take it apart to see what i can get away with, when i was trying to break the sending side loose that connection started flexing pretty good too, i think that whole thing is just old and fragile.

Temple, I fixed this on my 92 back when I had it. There are other trheads since then where the same happened. Pretty easy to do along the lines of what's been discussed above. If it happened again, I would fix in a second if I couldn't quickly find a replacement for cheap.

I was just at the yard yesterday getting the MAF for Marius. The 91 I was in is clean for this area. Not sure on the drop-in unit though. It's at a Pull-A-Part. If it's good, it would be ~$25 with the pump. Not sure when I'll be back though. It's cold here and everything there is buried in snow. If you get jammed up with this, let me know and I'll see...

Thanks, I dont think i'm in a big hurry, my raider is axleless right now going for the big 18"coilovers. with some 1/2ton axles

I'd really like to see if i could order some 90degree fuel fittings from summit racing and see if i could thread them in, i'd think they'd be alot stronger then stock..............

but again thank you everyone whos been giving my ideas and hope.

Dean
