First, sorry for not posting a signature with info sooner. Guess in the past on the FJ40 forums, I think I was a little sheepish about bragging about my rig since it was not a "high roller" and I never got in the habit. So to hell with humility.

Anyway, yeah... my rig is a diesel and the master is aluminum and I think the bore is 15/16" ? Does that sound right? I think that might be the better one ?

So it?s a no brainer that the Gen II calipers a big improvement over the genI, same with rear disks. This stuff will happen with time but for the moment I need to get the stock system working better. Good brake linings, no leaks, rebuilt master. I suspect that my vacuum pump is faulty, but have not yet gotten access to a guage to check it. ARe those diesel pumps get weak over time? Bet thats the problem.
