Maybe now...
As the story goes, a road maintenance crew from NV was cleaning up after a storm event a couple of years ago and inadvertently went too far....
Hence, a nice 4x4 route is now a touring route. But, DV was not about to repair the storm damage...

This is quote from the current road conditions (28th March) from the DV NPS site: Wildrose Charcoal Kilns Road - Open to Charcoal Kilns; CLOSED beyond kilns due to snow and ice.
If the road up to Charcoal Kilns is open, then there is a very good chance that Pleasant Canyon loop may be passable by the middle of April. The Charcoal Kilns are rather high in elevation, and they are very close to the Pleasant Canyon, so the conditions must be similar.

...for those I have listed as pending, please post up if you intend to go or not.
Ray, Put me down for 1. Also I understand that the starting point will be "someplace TBD in DV" on Friday 16-Apr around 10AM.? If that is the case I will be leaving the Bay Area on Thursday and heading back on Sunday.

I'll bring the Tea Kettle , unless someone has already spoken up.
Also I've got plenty of wood for campfires ...just can't carry it all. If anyone wants to pick some up (free) at my house in the days/week before the run and save your cash for gas. Just let me know.

Guys - Don't rule me out - but - don't pencil me in quite yet either. The week before I'm supposed to play ball in AZ which will have me already down that way. The weekend of the run I'm supposed to be playing ball in Vacaville, CA so I will have to see if I can make this work...........
Other than that life is kinda quiet, except for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
