Put me down in the Maybe column. I might attend based on the trails that are selected. If we go, we'll be in El Gato.

Ok, I've updated the list of attendees.

I have a number for most individual attendees & group contacts except a few of you. I want to have at least one number for each group and a number for all individual attendees.

For those whom I need your number I'll PM you.

Oleg & John, you two are the most knowledgeable on these trails so I'll leave it to you to decide what the best trail combination will be and based on that we can decide where to meet up on Friday morning.

Carlos and I were reviewing the trip south and are looking to decide if we will drive the whole way into DV or if sleeping at a hotel Thursday night then and drive in early Friday morning makes sense.

Other than that, here's the current attendee list.

Chart removed. Updated Chart in follow up post in thread.

You guys are way too high tech and organized. I'm waiting for a Powerpoint presentation of the itinerary.

Our plans usually consist of too many beers Thursday night with grand plans of leaving the next day and somehow I manage to leave with everything I need.

Awesome though. I could use some organization like that myself.

There may be three different weather-related conditions:

1) DV may be still under snow by mid-Apr. Then we will go through very-low-elevation trails outside DV to the north-east (like Alabama hills etc). Then we are meeting in Big Pine.

2) Low-elevation DV will be free of snow but higher-elevation will be closed. Then we are going around Saline Valley, Warm Springs, Racetrack, etc. Then we are meeting in Big Pine, again.

3) The snow will melt away completely and the higher-elevation trails will be open. Then we can do Pleasant Canyon and Mengel Pass. Then we are meeting in Lone Pine.

I am suggesting to decide on the final logistics on Tuesday, Apr. 13th.

I think that John is the most qualified person to figure it out. May we ask John to make a call to DV rangers around Apr. 12th and extract the exact conditions information from them ?

A little snow on the trails is fine as long as the trails are passable.

Ray, you can remove me from that fancy little chart of yours. My status has downgraded from Probably Not to Definitely Not. I'm going to miss this trip so much! Have a great time you guys! I don't doubt that you will all take a ton of photos.

Well Ray, as reported I'm 100% in now for the full 4 days.. Actually found a deal for new 33's so the SR will be getting new shoes...

My brother is going (wife is like nahhh) and my buddy is contemplating it currently..

But we're in... Unless REDCAR's auto swap magically happens quickly

LOL, it's simply me being anal on one of the few thing's I'm anal about, especially with so many attendee's. I know I'll forget something but hopefully being this anal will minimize what I forget.
