OK, updated the attendee list.
(see updated list in post below)

If you're name isn't where it's supposed to be, please speak up.

Also, had a bit more discussion with Oleg and Bruno this evening. Barring any issues with the weather (we doubt it) all attendees should plan to meet in Big Pine where highways 395 & 168 intersect. There are a number of gas stations, restaurants, and a grocery store so you can get last minute items as needed.

Regardless of whatever last minute things you need to buy/get, please try to be ready to depart by 10:00am.

Also in case anyone is wondering, here's the current state of the various DV trails (in park) http://www.nps.gov/deva/planyourvisit/road-conditions.htm

Hey Ray
Is every one driving to Big Pine Thursday night?
If so were should we meet ? Is there any groups going to camp or I book a motel?

Carlos and I will likely find a motel on the way there possibly at Lone Pine which is still 90 minutes away from Big Pine. Keep in mind we will both be driving from the bay area, down to Ridgecrest then up to Lone Pine that evening.

Update (April 6 @ 9:20am): I'll be taking the northern route to get to Big Pine Thursday after work.

I was reviewing the available routes to 395 from the north. All major highways appear to be closed with the exception of 50. Even 89 is closed due to avalanche control.

Is that what everyone is expecting to take?

Ray... get me on the list buddy! As for us, there might be another 2dr Raider going!!! Remember John Diegal from the Miller Jeep Trail back in 99 or 2000?

Well he's thinking he'll probably go also. This was us ALONG time ago!!

Looking at these photos, that's Rodney's SR there! (aka mine now)

My bad. I'll update that when I get home. You know I remember it since I've been calling you regularly LOL!

As for John Diegal of course I remember him. Poor guy had to 'carefully' get off the MJ trail that day because his trailing arm was busted!

He fixed that with either a reinforced trailing arm or a gen II arm right? Hope he makes it. Will be good to wheel with him again.

BTW, what's Rodney wheeling these days after you got his rig? Is he gonna join us as well?

Hey Carlos! I'm talking about the SR on the left. That was Rodney's and yours is in the center correct?

Because this was the pic I took of you back in '05 at MOD with the rack ontop... Mine is Navy Blue.

This time of year about the only way is over Highway 50.
you can then take 89 south of Lake Tahoe to connect to 395 in Minden / Gardenerville. This section of 89 does not apper to be closed.

This the route I'll be taking.

Carlos' original rig in the middle was also dark blue. His current one is black.

Thanks Bruno. We'll be taking that route now since we don't have to drive south... although driving south is only 30 minutes longer than driving the northern route and may even be quicker if it's raining up north in 2 weeks. Hopefully not but you never know.

Ahh, but the drive is spectacular, Mono Lake ...need I say more?

On another note, please be advised that speed limits are strictly enforced through those little towns along 395.
Yes, I've made many a $ donation to the CHP
