That sucks. It must be one of the only rusty vehicles in southern CA!

By the way, there are four drains for the sunroof; two at the front of the tray, visible when the sunroof is open and two at the rear of the tray. I used compressed air and my blow gun with the rubber protector tip to clean the front drains from the top with the roof open, and had to spray from the bottom, under the rear bumper/behind the rear tires to get the rear drains. At least that's how I think it works.

There are rubber plugs under the carpet in the floor. I remember this from installing a body lift. Maybe you could pull those. Does your A/C work? I'd make sure to run it while driving (mix w/ heat if necessary to stay comfortable) to help dehumidify the inside, too.
