Theres a gear code on the firewall. Read up http://www.brian894x4.com/Gearratiosanddiffs.html

You probably have 4.10.

Trailer it? This aint no Jeep! Drive it! Theres absolutly no reason why you need to trailer it, other than titling and registration issues. You would have to cut it up and turn it into a buggy before it gets un-road worthy.

I didn't mean to imply the Runner to be a trailer queen, I just like to trailer toys that are being played with hard so that i'm sure of a ride home if they break!

I'm a weekend warrior motocross'r so I'm no stranger to breaking things! The Runner may be stronger than I give it credit for but better safe than sorry.

Thanks for all the good info. If I wind up getting it I'll be checking back with you guys from time to time.

Thanks again and happy wheel'n to ya <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I guess I have one more question.

The Runner exposed itself without me really looking in that direction for a wheel'r and I hadn't considered if a truck with a bed would be a better option. I assume the runner is bit heavier but by how much I have no clue. Would this even be an issue anyway?

Anybodies thoughts on this??

Yea a little heavier. But I like it that way. With a pickup, the rear end can end up being too light and tend to lift the rear end up and cause you to loose traction.

So that addl weight in the rear is good then? I'll just stick with the plan and try to work my neighbor a bit more before I commit!

Thanks again <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, the pickups have more of a tendency to bounce. It's just that some guys don't like how a 22Rx performs in a Runner vs a truck. Different strokes.

You might also check out this IFS build:

BlossomsCA also has that gen Runner with a build under it too; she's here, more in the Cali crew section.

Have a look around in our Early Toyota Trucks forum, as that is the one that better suited for your truck. There are a lot more people with similar rigs over there.
