Well it seems that their isn't any quick fix... in the mean time I guess it comes down to how you use your sporty.

Sorry but everyone here is a smart a$$ but me, Please don't tell them I told ya ... ok!

By the way, how'd you fit that CB in there? Very nice work

Hi 69442,

Thanks mate.

It's fairly simple.

Step 1. Dismantle/take out the bottom centre console.

Step 2. You will find plenty of space to place a CB radio the size of a normal cd player din size right down the bottom. It fits at an angle (the front of the unit should be tilted up at a slight angle) this makes it fit better and makes it easier to see the display and use the controls. Place a screw behind the unit to stop it sliding back.

Step 3. Once you got it in place, place the bottom plastic console back, use a texture to mark the outline of the unit and cut the plastic about half to one cm (about a third of an inch)inside the line that you marked. I found a metal saw to work best.

Step 4. I bought some black plastic 'U' shape thin plastic/rubber (see picture), this made my boggy cut look very smooth and allows the unit to wedge against the plastic console for a clean/professional look. Without something like the black plastic/rubber I wouldn't recommend you contemplate this. The plastic/rubber is a semi rigid 1 cm wide section with a 2-3mm wide section at the top 'U' section opening. I bought it from a store called ClarkRubber I don't know if it exists in the States . But you prob find something similar in a hardware store.

Step 5. Wire it up at the back and put everything back.

Thats it.
