Ok - new details. The truck starts fine all the time when it's cold or hot. It's only when the temp guage is at the notch between C and normal operating temp that it seems to have an issue. The symptoms are that the engine just about catches on the first start. Then it's dead after that. It's almost like it is flooded. Once the engine cools enough it will start.

This is an 89 with a 3.0 - has anyone else experienced this? The ambient temp is in the mid 20's and this has happened in this temp range.
