I'm guessing that's sarcasm about the driving lights? Actually, no! I have the earlier oval style where as you have the newer round ones. No experience with the round ones, but my oval units are better than my headlights...and the headlights are damn good!

this post came up at the right time, though I'll be posting one of mine own with a few more questions. First off, congrats on the new 05 Montero. You have a long road ahead of you. Look for IcySyrup, he's done I think the most to a Gen III so far. And as far as the fog lights on the earlier Gen III's, my moms fog lights are awesome! Those things are def bright, lights up all around <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
Right now I'm dealing with my moms 02, recently got into a fender bender on the highway, all cause of an icy mess Charlotte has had this past weekend. Make a long story short. Asked my mom if she would be interested in an ARB or something of the sort instead of spending more money on a factory bumper. So if there are a few interested in purchasing ARB bumpers, let me know. I could be in!
edit, check out ARBUSA.com They have two styles. What do you guys think?

yeah, either way, its more of a bother. Having morrans riding around either going ridiculously slow and not thinking about getting off the road or too fast thinking they can. Ice is ice, no matter if its in PA or in NC, 2 wheels or 18 wheels. You lose control or hold your brakes, you're going straight!

edit, check out ARBUSA.com They have two styles. What do you guys think? Yea, the driving lights on mine are pretty lame but I guess they can't be too bright to be legal. I was looking at the arb bumpers as well. I like them both but I think I'd definately go with the full bumper becuase I would be purchasing it for front end protection against animals, other cars, etc. the other model would only give moderate protection but I guess looks a little less obvious. I don't know where you are located but if you find some kind of group buy or good deal, let me know! I thought I should buy one of these while there are still a few around with minimal miles and near new condition. These are a dying breed (well, dead in the US) The only other SUV I would consider on the market right now would be the new 4-runner they are looking pretty cool. After driving this rig 500 miles or so, I was so impressed I told my wife I want one too. Too bad I need a truck for our family outings - I'd rather drive the Montero.
