Getting the Wheeling Fever
I know someone must have extras kicking around. I need longer UCA mounting bolts for my Gen1 so I can add enough shims to get the camber right. I believe the stock size is 12x1.25x55mm grade 10.9, and the recommended longer bolt is the same size except 70mm long?

I drilled mine out to 1/2" and used grade 8 bolts when I did the GenII UCA's. Much easier to find and cheaper.

For a bolt, they're expensive, but in the context of auto parts, they're not that bad. I'm seeing anywhere from $3-$8/each, but having trouble finding the finer thread bolts (12x1.25 or even 12x1.50). I found an old post from FrankR saying that he bought a box of them, I was hoping he'd have some left.

Just got a quote from MetricMMC.com.

Price for 12mm x 1.25 x 70mm is $2.74/each plus shipping.
Grade 10.9

Minimum order is $25 or 10 bolts.

Anyone else want some?

I'll take a set. How many are required? I haven't gotten into the front end on my rig yet but have a set of UCAs in the garage.

You'll need 4 of them Jon. But, as an alternative, you can get 1/2" bolts in the longer length for literally pennies apiece. All that's required to make them fit is a 15/32" or 19/64" drill bit, whichever you choose to ensure there's no slop. And you'll find plenty of uses for that bit. I have.

Not trying to talk you out of it. Jus sayin... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

As always, thanks for the info, Larry. I'll cross that road when (if) I come to it.
