Not prone to overheating, just to cracked heads, then overheating. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

That said a good 2.6 will last a long time. However the V6 model have a lot more desirable features. The 4 cyl are great for turbo swaps.

My understanding was that a poorly operating cooling system is what causes the engine to run hotter and thus causes the head cracking but maybe not. Anyways, lots of good advice here. That site is awesome. Would have been handy when looking for my SWB. I know I wouldn't sell mine as cheap as most of those but I have put some dollars into mine to keep it in excellent condition because it is worth it to me.
