I'm afraid you guys might be right about the head gasket. But what I don't understand is that the truck runs perfect. The headgasket was replaced only about 5000mi ago. Can they fail that fast?


I have had them fail soon after replacement. One time was due to the shop (a Toyota dealer in fact) not properly tightening the head bolts and using a rebuilt head that was slightly warped. I had that head replaced with a new factory head along with some ARP head studs and that head and gasket has been running fine for 10+ years now.
