I'm not going to speak for everyone but a heat shield application is not necessary on my rig for sure.

There is a huge void where it sits and nothing is close enough to be concerned about even if it were to get hot.

Like I said before, I'll carry plenty of hotdogs and marshmallows just in case <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
