Thanks, Nathan. That's a nice product. I wish the price was justifiable, but it isn't for our wear history. I'm getting about a year from a tire that's around $300 installed and adding in a couple of flat repairs per tire, the payback takes too long for today's financial rationalization.

I'm fairly certain you can re-cap a skid steer tire.
Sounds like you do a lot of running light if you are wearing out the rears.

Not really - but we usually run with only 1/3 of the rated load capacity on gravel and those are the steer tires. We do a lot of tight-quarter jockeying and some folks don't understand that the rear should be steered as little as possible.

But Frank I'm confused.

Most Skid Steers uses all wheels to steer, side to side like a tank. AT least our Bobcats do.

Bobcat make a machine called a articulated loader is that what you have?

No, I'm running one 10k lb rated CAT DP45K with solid tires for light duty:

One 10k lb rated MasterCraft rough terrain C-10 with pneumatic tires for medium duty:

And one 16k lb rated 4x4 MasterCraft rough terrain C-16 with pneumatic tires for heavy duty:

The pictures are not our equipment - but they are similar to ours. Ours are just newer versions - 18 months old.

The 2 MasterCraft rough terrain machines use skid steer rear tires. The C-16 4x4 is a hoss. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

One of our yards does have a CAT IT-28 articulated loader, but we have forks on it instead of a bucket - here's a picture of a similar one with a bucket:

OK Frank, that make sense now as the Bobcat would be to small for your work load.
